Spring and summer are wonderful times of year to visit Galena. For
many, a Galena getaway is not complete until they have dined at Vinny
Vanucchi’s, which is considered by many to be a landmark Galena restaurant.
Every summer families, groups and couples, make the trek up the cobblestone street to seek out Vinny's piping hot garlic bread, famous house salad, and plentiful dishes of Italian classics.
Not only is dining available in the Cappuccino Garden, but diners may request
seating on the second floor outdoor balcony overlooking the garden. Al
fresco seating is available, weather permitting, weekdays from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.
and weekends from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Guests should inquire about availability
upon arriving for their regular reservation.
Drinks & Dining
Nothing is better on a warm day than lingering in the Cappuccino Garden with a
drink in hand. A glass of wine is always popular, but if you are looking for a
special warm weather treat, try a glass of Sangria or Limoncello, a traditional
bright yellow Italian liqueur with a sweet lemony taste reminiscent of Lemon Ice sold on the street corner in the Old Neighborhood.
The culinary staff recommends pairing
your summery drink
with a light flavorful dish such as:
Bruschetta Homegrown Basil, Fresh Tomatoes and Fresh Mozzarella
Chicken Piccatta A Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Cooked in a Lemon, Wine and
Garlic Sauce with Artichoke Hearts and Diced Red Bell Peppers
